2000 Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir 2000 - this is a classic Carneros Pinot Noir. It was personally hand picked from second crop fruit from the Toyon Vineyard just off of Foster Rd. It was cold soaked for 4 days at 56 degrees f. Fermentation took 90 days using RC212 yeast. It has completed malolactic fermentation and barrel aged for 7 months.

This wine is extremely aromatic in the nose with hints of fresh strawberry/raspberry, cola, cassis, and allspice and a hint of vanilla. We have tried to maintain the upfront fruit with subtle oak tones. We feel this wine gives a mid-palate structure that carries through to the finish. Extremely allocated, only 45 gallons were produced. Hope you enjoy!
