We bought the vineyard in 2000 and made our first vintage from the untended 25 year old vines in 2001. Yield was low but, as a result the flavor is intense. A big black inky cab with that Mt. Veeder steele. 30 cases in 2001 and 80 cases in 2002. We are replanting 90% of the vineyard, about 4 acres, this year with the best French clones money can buy. Going commercial is in the plans for a couple years after these new vines begin to bear fruit.
